Article 1. Definitions
- VignetteHub, we, us: Taxionspot, trading under the name VignetteHub, with its registered office at Pastoor Petersstraat 170-46, 5612 LW Eindhoven, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 65752376, VAT number NL002452287B94, reachable via info@vignettehub.com.
- You, the customer: the person who places an order through the Website.
- Operator: the official issuer of the e-vignette in the country of destination: ASFINAG (Austria), the BAZG via via.admin.ch (Switzerland), edalnice.gov.cz (Czechia), eznamka.sk (Slovakia), CNAIR via erovinieta.ro (Romania) or BG Toll, the National Toll Administration, via web.bgtoll.bg (Bulgaria).
- The Service: the ordering service under which we purchase an e-vignette from the Operator in your name and on your behalf and deliver the official proof of it to you. We are not an Operator ourselves and not a government body.
- The Fee: the total price of your order as described in article 6.
- Status page: your personal order page, accessible via the link in the order confirmation, where you can follow the progress and correct or cancel your order yourself.
- Website: vignettehub.com and the associated ordering environment.
Article 2. Who we are
VignetteHub is an independent, commercial ordering service. We are not affiliated with any Operator, toll authority or government. Every vignette we offer can also be purchased directly from the relevant Operator, at only the official toll tariff and without our service fee. You choose us because we take the hassle off your hands: a clear ordering flow in your own language, a check of your details and purchase at the correct official portal.
Article 3. Applicability
These terms apply to every order placed through the Website. Deviations only apply if we have confirmed them in writing. If any provision of these terms proves to be void or voidable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
Article 4. The Service
We purchase the e-vignette you have chosen from the Operator, in your name and on your behalf. The vignette is registered digitally by the Operator against the number plate you have provided; nothing physical is delivered. After purchase we send you the Operator's official proof by email, together with a link you can use to verify the registration with the Operator yourself.
The vignette itself is a product of the Operator. Its validity, the rules for its use and enforcement on the road are governed by the Operator's rules and the law of the country of destination. We only act as an intermediary for the purchase and do not become a party to the relationship between you and the Operator or the authorities of the country of destination.
Article 5. Formation of the contract
You place an order by completing the ordering steps on the Website, agreeing to these terms and to immediate performance, and paying. The contract is formed at the moment we have received your payment and send you the order confirmation by email.
We may refuse or subsequently cancel an order, for example in the event of an obvious error in the order, suspected misuse or fraud, or if the purchase from the Operator proves impossible. If we have not yet purchased the vignette at that point, we will refund the full amount you paid.
Article 6. The Fee and payment
The Fee is the total price shown in the order summary before you complete your order and stated in the order confirmation. The Fee consists of two parts: the official toll tariff that we pay to the Operator on your behalf, plus our service fee for the Service. All amounts stated include VAT. On request we will provide the exact breakdown of these two parts for your order.
The official toll tariffs are set by the Operator and may change from time to time. If the official tariff changes after you have placed your order but before we have purchased the vignette from the Operator, we will inform you of this or cancel the order free of charge with a full refund. We will never charge you more than the Fee stated in your order confirmation.
If you choose the express service, the surcharge shown in the order summary applies. You can pay with the payment methods offered on the Website, including iDEAL, Bancontact, credit card, PayPal and Apple Pay. Payment is processed by our payment service provider PayPal.
Article 7. Performance and delivery time
At your express request, we start performing immediately after receiving your payment. Delivery times on the Website, such as "on average within 15 minutes", are realistic indications based on our experience, but not guarantees. Performance may be delayed by, for example, outages at the Operator or the payment service provider.
The express service gives your order priority in our processing. Even with the express service, the delivery time remains an indication; the surcharge does not entitle you to a guaranteed delivery moment.
For orders with a start date in the future, the purchase from the Operator may take place on or around that start date (see also article 11 on Switzerland). Until the moment of purchase you can change or cancel the order free of charge via the Status page.
Article 8. Your details and the number plate
An e-vignette is inseparably linked to the number plate against which it is registered. You are responsible for ensuring that the number plate, the country of registration, the vehicle category and the chosen start date are correct. In the ordering flow we display your number plate prominently for checking and ask you to confirm it before paying.
Once we have purchased the vignette from the Operator, the number plate is final. The Operators offer no, or only very limited, correction options of their own. An error in the number plate after purchase may therefore mean that the vignette is worthless and a new one has to be bought, without any right to a refund. Where the Operator does allow a correction, we will help you with it free of charge, but we cannot guarantee the outcome.
Article 9. Correcting and cancelling via the Status page
As long as we have not yet purchased the vignette from the Operator, you can use the Status page to:
- correct the number plate free of charge;
- cancel the order free of charge, with a full refund of the Fee.
We make refunds via the payment method you used to pay, within 14 days at the latest and usually within 1 to 3 working days. After purchase from the Operator, correcting or cancelling via the Status page is no longer possible; the Status page will clearly indicate this.
After purchase from the Operator, only the Operator's own correction options apply. These differ per country:
- Romania (CNAIR): a number plate error can only be corrected free of charge with CNAIR within 60 minutes of issue. After that, only a written procedure with CNAIR is possible, with a processing time of up to 5 working days and no guarantee of correction; until CNAIR has decided, you cannot rely on the correction.
- Bulgaria (BG Toll): a number plate error of no more than 3 characters can be corrected with the Operator through an authorised representative. If more than 3 characters are wrong, correction is not possible and a new vignette has to be bought. The validity period cannot be changed.
Power of attorney. By placing your order you authorise us, where the Operator allows this, to submit correction requests concerning your vignette to the Operator on your behalf and to provide the details and supporting documents required for that purpose. We will submit such a request as quickly as possible and help you with it free of charge, but the decision rests with the Operator; we cannot guarantee the outcome.
Article 10. Right of withdrawal
The Service is a service you ask us to perform immediately. By ticking the agreement box in the ordering step, you expressly request us to start performing within the statutory 14-day cooling-off period, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been performed in full. The Service has been performed in full at the moment the vignette has been registered with the Operator against your number plate.
- Not yet performed: as long as we have not purchased the vignette, you can cancel free of charge via the Status page or exercise your right of withdrawal. You will receive the full Fee back.
- Performed in full: once the vignette has been registered with the Operator, withdrawal is no longer possible by law.
A detailed explanation and the statutory model form can be found on the right of withdrawal page.
Article 11. Country-specific particulars
Austria (ASFINAG)
The 1-day and 10-day vignettes are valid immediately after registration. We sell the 2-month and annual vignettes to consumers only with a start date of at least 18 days after purchase; this follows from Austrian consumer rules. The ordering flow enforces these date rules automatically.
Switzerland (BAZG)
The Swiss Operator does not offer a choice of start date: the e-vignette is valid immediately upon purchase. If you choose a start date in the future with us, we therefore only register your vignette on that chosen start date. From that moment it is valid immediately. The Swiss annual vignette covers the vignette year and is valid up to and including 31 January of the following year. In Switzerland, a trailer or caravan needs its own vignette.
Czechia and Slovakia (edalnice.gov.cz and eznamka.sk)
These vignettes are valid immediately after registration from the chosen start date. Motorcycles are exempt from the vignette requirement in Czechia and Slovakia; for that reason we deliberately do not offer motorcycle products there.
Romania (CNAIR, erovinieta.ro)
The Romanian rovinieta is valid from the chosen start date once registered. Because CNAIR only corrects a number plate error free of charge within 60 minutes of issue, we purchase the vignette immediately after your payment; please therefore check your number plate extra carefully before paying (see articles 8 and 9).
Bulgaria (BG Toll, web.bgtoll.bg)
The Bulgarian e-vignette is valid from the chosen start date, which can be planned up to 30 days ahead. The weekend vignette has a fixed validity window from Friday 12:00 to Sunday 23:59, regardless of the moment of purchase. The Operator applies strict input rules for the number plate: exactly as shown on the plate itself, without hyphens, full stops or spaces, and with the digit 0 and the letter O not being interchangeable.
Article 12. Liability
Our liability for damage connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. In particular, we are not liable for:
- fines or other damage resulting from incorrect details you provided, such as a wrong number plate, a wrong country of registration or a wrong vehicle category;
- fines or other damage resulting from use of the road outside the rules of the vignette, for example driving before the start date or after the validity has expired;
- decisions, outages or delays at the Operator, the payment service provider or the authorities of the country of destination;
- indirect or consequential damage.
These limitations do not apply to the extent that damage results from intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, or to the extent that mandatory law does not permit a limitation.
Article 13. Complaints and contact
If you have a complaint or a question, please email us at info@vignettehub.com, quoting your order number. We will respond within 5 working days at the latest and aim to resolve every complaint in consultation with you.
Article 14. Governing law and language
The contract and these terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another country as a consumer, you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence. Disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
These terms are a translation of the Dutch original. In the event of any difference in interpretation between the Dutch text and this translation, the Dutch text prevails.
Article 15. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms. The version that applied at the time you placed your order always applies to your order. The current version is always available on this page.
