Your number plate is the vignette. Hundreds of fixed and mobile BG Toll cameras recognise your registration automatically, even at night.
Weekend vignette: fixed window
The weekend vignette always runs from Friday 12:00 to Sunday 23:59, no matter when you buy it. Ideal for a weekend trip, but not for a freely chosen period.
Plan up to 30 days ahead
You choose the start date yourself, up to 30 days ahead. Handy if you are arranging your holiday now: the vignette only starts running on the day you leave.
Everything you need to know
WHERE IT IS REQUIRED
On the motorways and on the national (republican) roads. In built-up areas and on local roads you drive vignette-free.
WITHOUT A VIGNETTE
Cameras check automatically. Without a valid vignette you pay a compensation fee of € 35,79; if you fail to pay it, a fine of € 153,39 follows.
WEEKEND WINDOW
The weekend vignette has a fixed window: Friday 12:00 to Sunday 23:59. If you leave on Thursday or return on Monday, choose the weekly vignette instead.
CARAVAN & TRAILER
If the combined weight of car plus trailer or caravan exceeds 3.5 tonnes, the trailer needs its own vignette in Bulgaria. Contact us and we will arrange it together with your car vignette.
Good to know
Digital vignette on your number plate
No sticker on the windscreen. Your number plate is in the BG Toll register and cameras recognise it automatically. With us you simply pay in euros, just as in Bulgaria itself.
Start date up to 30 days ahead
Every vignette starts on the date you choose, today or up to 30 days ahead. Only the weekend vignette has a fixed window from Friday 12:00 to Sunday 23:59.
Correcting your number plate
As long as we have not yet purchased, you can correct or cancel free of charge via your status page. After purchase, BG Toll has an official correction procedure for up to 3 incorrect characters, using a signed form. We will help you with it; with more than 3 incorrect characters a new vignette is required.
Check it yourself
After delivery you can always verify your registration yourself via the official plate check at check.bgtoll.bg. The link is in your delivery email.
