The vignette covers the motorways and expressways. Cameras check automatically, so a correct registration is all you need.
Valid immediately, nothing in the car
Your number plate is the vignette. Get in and drive: cameras recognise your registration automatically; there is nothing to stick on.
Valid on D and R roads
The vignette covers all motorways (D) and expressways (R). All other roads are vignette-free, ideal for a detour through the villages.
Plan up to 60 days ahead
You choose the start date yourself, up to 60 days ahead. That way the vignette is ready before your holiday begins.

WHERE REQUIRED
On all motorways (D) and expressways (R). All other roads are vignette-free; there you drive without a registration.
UP TO 60 DAYS AHEAD
You are free to plan the start date, up to 60 days ahead. If you choose today as the start date, the vignette is valid immediately after registration.
TRAILER
If the combined weight of car plus trailer exceeds 3.5 tonnes, the trailer needs its own vignette. Below that, the car's vignette is sufficient.
WITHOUT A VIGNETTE
Cameras check automatically by number plate. If you drive without a valid vignette on a D or R road, you risk a fine.
Good to know
Valid immediately after registration
All Slovak vignettes are valid immediately after registration. Even if you leave today or tomorrow, you will be ready in time.
365-day vignette: a rolling year
The 365-day vignette runs for a full year from your start date, not a calendar year. Start on 15 July and you can drive up to and including 14 July next year.
Enter your number plate exactly
Corrections are only possible before the first day of validity. That is why we ask you to enter the plate twice and show it once more for confirmation before you pay.
Check it yourself
After delivery, you can always check your registration yourself via the official number plate check at eznamka.sk. The link is in your delivery email.
