On the road in Czechia
The e-vignette covers the motorways and is valid immediately. Good to know before you set off.
Valid immediately, nothing in the car
Your number plate is the vignette and it is valid immediately after registration. Cameras recognise your registration automatically; there is nothing to stick on.
Only on the D motorways
The vignette is required on the toll motorways with a D number, such as the D1 and the D5. Ordinary roads and towns are vignette-free.
Heading further into the mountains?
If you drive on to Austria or Slovakia, a separate vignette applies there. You can arrange that one through us as well, on the same number plate.
Everything you need to know
WHERE REQUIRED
On the Czech toll motorways, the roads with a D number such as the D1 and the D5. Ordinary through roads and towns are vignette-free.
MOTORCYCLES EXEMPT
Motorcycles do not need a vignette in Czechia. If you ride to or through Czechia by motorcycle, there is nothing you need to arrange.
ECO DISCOUNT
For vehicles running on CNG or LPG and certain hybrids, a lower rate applies at the official portal. We select the correct rate based on your vehicle details.
WITHOUT A VIGNETTE
Cameras check automatically. If you drive without a valid e-vignette on a D road, you risk a fine of up to around 20,000 CZK, well over 800 euros.
Good to know
Valid immediately after registration
The Czech e-vignette is valid immediately after registration. Ordered today means driving today, ideal if you are leaving soon.
Start date up to 30 days ahead
You choose the start date yourself, from today up to 30 days ahead. Handy if you would like to arrange your holiday in advance.
Annual vignette: 365 days from your start date
The annual vignette does not follow the calendar year. It is valid for 365 days from the start date you choose.

After delivery, you can always check your registration yourself via the official number plate check at edalnice.gov.cz. The link is in your delivery email.
